Rock & Run at A.R. Wilson Quarry
Aromas School benefits from the annual Rock & Run fundraiser put on by Graniterock Team Members and community volunteers at A.R. Wilson Quarry. In 2012, over 170 runners and walkers raised $6000 for the school. 5K and 10K course participants travel through the quarry, past the primary crusher and rocky slopes and back up the 4127 Belt. 10k runners ascend to the top of the "horseshoe", several hundred feet above the starting line, while 5K folks make their way to a finish line banner supported by two huge CAT haul trucks. This fun and healthy community event is a winner for everyone.
