Aromas Community Comes Together to Renovate School Field
Groundbreaking Planned for June 26th, 2006
With the support of local businesses, the Aromas/San Juan Unified School District is pleased to begin work on the much-needed renovation of the Aromas School Field. The project is the culmination of a community coming together to fill a need that benefits the children, their education, health, and well-being. Several businesses contributed resources to make this dream a reality. Kasavan Architects prepared Aromas School the drawings and assisted in procuring the permits. The Home and School Club raised money and awareness for this much-needed upgrade to the Aromas School Field. Graniterock will be doing the grading, and construction. Chip Kerlee, of Graniterock’s Pavex Construction Division, will be the project manager and be on hand for the groundbreaking. Joel Wiley is providing the soil, soil amendments, and turf, and will also be there to handle one of the golden shovels.
Bruce Woolpert, President and CEO, Graniterock, Jackie Munoz, Aromas/San Juan Unified School District Superintendent, and Joseph Reyes, Operations Manager of the School District will all be on hand to get this project started so the field will be ready for the new school year.
