Graniterock Announces Executive Appointment
Pavex Contruction Divion Led by Industry Veteran
Bruce W. Woolpert, President and CEO, Graniterock announced today that Rodney Jenny has joined the Company as Vice President and Division Manager of Graniterock’s Pavex Construction Division. Graniterock’s Pavex Construction Division is a major heavy engineering contractor for both public and private construction work of both small and large size. Mr. Jenny has extensive management and heavy engineering construction experience. Rodney joined Kiewit more than eighteen years ago almost directly out of college. He attended Reed College. Most recently, Rodney led Kiewit’s grading, paving, and general heavy construction business operations in Southern California. Rodney furthered his construction education while working his way up inside Kiewit, learning at each position from Accounts Payable, Office Manager, Engineer, Job Engineer, Project Engineer, Field Superintendent, Job Superintendent, Project Manager, Estimator, to Area Manager.
In addition to his field and estimating background in traditional types of projects, Rodney Jenny is very knowledgeable about the design-build construction procurement process. He has been involved in several of Kiewit’s design-build projects across the Country. Rodney was a frequent instructor in Kiewit’s management and construction training classes, and enjoys mentoring and supporting the growth of Team Members.
Rodney looks forward to working with the Graniterock’s Pavex Construction Division Team, and continuing Pavex’ basic commitment to be “no ordinary construction company.”
Mr. Jenny is in the process of moving from San Diego to Cupertino. Rodney is married to Michelle Jenny, and they have three daughters, ages 9, 11, and 13. Rodney enjoys a wide range of activities, from building handcrafted furniture and growing avocados to theater and music.

The Company’s employees work in branch locations in South San Francisco, Redwood City, San Jose, Salinas, Monterey, Oakland, Watsonville, Felton and Santa Cruz. Graniterock supplies construction materials including ready-mix concrete; hot mix asphalt, building materials, landscaping supplies, rock, sand and gravel. The Company’s Pavex Construction Division is a significant regional heavy engineering contractor building roadways, airports and private commercial and residential projects.
