Graniterock Receives City Clean Ocean Business
The Ciry of Santa Cruz Recognizes Santa Cruz Concrete and Building Materials Branch
The City of Santa Cruz informed Graniterock’s Santa Cruz Concrete and Building Materials Branch that it had received the “Clean Ocean Business Award” for the sixth consecutive year! The Award recognizes that the Santa Cruz Branch since 2000 has been found to be in compliance with City of Santa Cruz’ Best Management Practices. In his congratulatory letter, Director of Public Works, Mark R. Dettle, said, “we greatly appreciate the commitment and energy that you and your staff have invested in helping meet the City’s objectives of reducing pollution from storm water runoff. Thank you for your significant participation in preventing pollutants from entering our local creeks, the San Lorenzo River, and ultimately the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.”
The City held an event honoring the companies that met the criteria, created a commemorative plaque, and placed full-page ads in the Santa Cruz Sentinel and Good Times newspapers.
The Graniterock Santa Cruz Concrete and Building Materials Branch is located at 303 Coral Street in Santa Cruz. Jim Holmquist is the Branch Manager.
