National Association of Women in Construction Propose New Chapter
Region 10 of the National Association of Women in Construction proposes to charter a new chapter in the San Benito, North Monterey and South Santa Clara County area. An invitation is extended to all interested women in construction in the area that are interested in examining this unique Association.
NAWIC is unique because it is the only Association that unites all phases of the construction industry. We are an international non-profit Association comprised of women employed in various construction-related fields. In recent years our membership has broadened, to include those companies not directly related to the construction industry. NAWIC’s membership is diverse since it embraces women in all kinds of jobs and at all levels of responsibility within the field of construction.
NAWIC is career opportunities, education, networking, legislative awareness, industry involvement, community involvement, personal growth and development and most importantly—lasting friendships.
As a member of NAWIC, you will be better informed and more alert to the needs of your company and the construction industry. You will have the opportunity to attend monthly chapter meetings, regional conferences, Annual Regional Forum and the Annual Convention, where educational programs, seminars and workshops are sponsored.
To further acquaint you with what NAWIC has to offer please plan on attending Tuesday August 15, 2000 at 6 pm at Paines Restaurant on Second Street in Hollister. Networking will begin the evening with dinner at 6:30 and a Special Guest Speaker, Richard Place, San Benito County Supervisor. Dinner will cost just $20. You will not want to miss hearing Mr. Place talk about the growth of the construction industry in the area and build your network through NAWIC.
