Longtime Local Company Continues Support

Karl Philipovitch, Area Manager for Graniterock’s Pavex Construction Division, has been selected to Chair the Monterey Bay Chapter of the Association of General Contractors (AGC), for the 2012/2013 year.

Mr. Philipovitch has been with the Company for over eight years and been on the AGC/Monterey Board for over three years. He graduated from Chico State University with a degree in Construction Management in 1993. Karl has three children and he and his wife are active outdoor enthusiasts.

Rodney Jenny, Division Manager of Pavex said, “I know that Karl will do a great job as President. He cares about our industry, has many connections within the contracting community, and he personally knows most of the owners in the Monterey Bay Area. This will help him effectively work on the important issues.”

Graniterock’s Pavex Construction Division operates from area offices in Redwood City, San Jose, Oakland, and Watsonville, and performs large work such as highway or runway expansion projects, as well as commercial and residential projects. The Company’s Corporate Offices have been located in Watsonville since 1900.
