Roger Swenson, Graniterock Branch Manager, Joins Big Brothers Big Sisters Board of Directors
Santa Cruz, CA—Roger Swenson joins the board of directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Santa Cruz County.
Roger, who has been with Granitrock since 1977, is currently a Santa Cruz Branch Manager. He is a graduate of Aptos High School, Cabrillo College and UC Santa Barbara with an Environmental Biology degree.
Roger, a very active community member, served as Santa Cruz High School’s Cardinal Club President for two years and has been Harvey West Area Association’s Treasurer since 1999. He has been a Rotary Club member since 1999 serving as Assistant Secretary in 2000, President in 2001, and Sargent At Arms in 2003 and is currently the Club Membership Chair for 2004.
Since 1982, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Santa Cruz County has provided quality-mentoring services to children from Santa Cruz County. Children matched with caring adult mentors are far more likely to stay in school and out of the juvenile justice system.
