Bedding Sand

Bedding Sand is produced at our Quail Hollow Sand Plant located in Felton, CA. With #1 Plaster Sand and #2 Plaster Sand becoming less available, Quail Hollow Bedding Sand is an excellent choice for brick and block work. it’s also ideal for under slab applications. Below is a list of features and benefits to consider.

• Uniform particle size to provide product consistency
• Finely graded to provide excellent workability
• Washed and screened so it’s free of unwanted silt, clay, and salt
• Long term reserves so it will be available for decades
• Centrally located in Felton which makes product available for south bay projects
• Light beach sand color which is easily identifiable

A typical gradation is listed below for evaluation. As with all natural materials, some variation will occur.

• Sand Equivalent: 70
• pH: 7.8
• Chloride Content: 2.2 ppm
• Sulfate Content: 9.6 ppm
