Graniterock Tops The Table At Chamber Of Commerce Business Excellence Awards

Graniterock was nominated as one of the finalists for the Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce’s Business Excellence Awards in the Construction and Building Category. Graniterock was not only invited to attend the gala awards banquet, but also given the opportunity to participate in the “Design-a-Table” contest where over 40 companies decorated tables that creatively showcased their business.  

Two awards were to be presented, the Chamber of Commerce Committee Award and the most coveted, Chairman’s Award.  A group of Graniterock Team Members set out to win an award on their rookie year in the contest. The group included two former florists, Katy Alexander and Giselle Rieiro, as well as Robin Steudler, Intern Jennifer Smith, and Keith Severson.  The design was filled with green and orange flowers, rock candy, green and orange M&Ms, and model Graniterock concrete mixers.  Much hard work from all members of the team was required to produce this beautiful table.

The elegant dinner event began with much anticipation. The Graniterock Team Members in attendance waited until the very end of the show to hear… “And the winner of the Chairperson’s Award is…GRANITEROCK!” Taking away this fun trophy was worth the wait.
